Have a Quick Spa Day at Home
This year, I have been taking my skin care routine very seriously. I want to be able to not wear makeup everyday! I have learned that letting your skin breath from makeup from a couple of days is good. BUT, my skin was uneven due to pimple/acne scars and dark circles underneath my eyes. I teamed up with Alba Botanica to try out their Even Advanced line for uneven skin tones. I've been using this line for about two weeks and I already see a difference! Me and my mother have been fans of the vegan skin care line ever since we tried the Hawaiian line. I want to share my current skin care routine featuring the Even Advanced line and using my facial sauna. Let's get started, ladies! -And men!
Prep Your Facial Sauna
I ordered this Conair Facial Steamer from Amazon ($27), but I believe they are found at Walmart. I add water into the reservoir on the bottom, and a few drops of tea tree oil. The steam will open up your pores, making it easier to remove impurities. Also, if you have sinus issues, this sauna will clear it up! While my water is getting hot, I go ahead and wash my face. I will have a separate review for the Conair Facial Sauna in a later post.
Exfoliate and Cleanse
Instead of using the scrub to exfoliate, I wanted to use the Conair spin brush to exfoliate. I normally exfoliate 2-3 per week- exfoliating everyday may be to harsh for your skin. I wet the spin brush and apply the Cleansing Gel to to the brush and begin cleaning my face. I've been enoying this cleansing gel for the past 2 weeks, the scent is very light and doesn't linger. This Cleansing gel claims to: "Lather away the grime with this frothy cleanser that freshens and brightens your complexion. The botanically powerful Marine Complex, rich in sea minerals, fortifies skin and encourages even tone while washing away dulling impurities." They also have a Cleansing Milk, but I've only used it a couple of times. I love that it comes in a pump bottle, so you can control how much product comes out.
Steam Face & Apply Sheet Mask
After I cleanse my face, I like to rest it above the sauna for about 5-10 minutes. Opening up my mores and getting them ready for the Sheet mask. Now it did take me a while to open up the sheet mask, but it is probably because I'm not used to doing sheet mask. The struggle was real- don't let these glamourous pictures fool you, haha! After I finally applied the mask, I left it on for ten minutes (use this time to read, browse social media, etc). Carefully lift the mask off, and massage the leftover serum into your face, no rinsing required. Product claim: "Grapefruit, charcoal, and turmeric vanish visible pores, soothe redness, and lighten shadows." This mask combined with the facial sauna provided AMAZING RESULTS. The only con is unwrapping the mask, but the more I use them, the better I get.
If I have any Moms with small children reading, apply the mask before you take your shower if you don't have time to waste!
Apply Moisturizing Cream
If you're doing this at night or in the evening, apply the Sea Plus Renewal Night Cream (I apply this in the day if I'm not wearing makeup that day). This is the product that does most of the magic (in conjunction with the other products!). I highly recommend getting this cream if you just want to test out the line. The night cream promises results in two weeks- it definitely lived up to its promise! I actually noticed results in a week, and so did other people. The smell is clean and calming, and leaves your face very soft to touch. I'm overall very pleased with this line. I have used the toner only a couple of times, as I don't tone everyday....just my preference. I keep the other cleanser and scrub in the shower- I love washing my face in the shower because of the steam. So if you have dark spots or an uneven skin tone, definitely check out this line!!!
